Blue Accented Cozy Living & Dining Design Project Description
I’m moving into a new place. I close in April and I will barely have any furniture. I’d like the living room part of the combined dining/living room area to be my library/office. I like simple but comfortable. I also want as much storage as possible without it looking cluttered.

I want it to feel inviting and cozy. As per my condo association, most of the floor needs to be covered. I really like the rugs that look like plush carpet. Also, a sleeper sofa with deep seats would be nice. no glass (coffee tables, end tables, etc). No bright colors.

I want the living room part of the area to be my office and library and somehow close it off from the dining portion maybe with a couch separating it? Again, storage and comfort are what I’m looking for in this entire area with large rugs. Also, again, no bright colors.
One more thing to add is that I have all of these medals from races I’ve run. It would be nice to have a place to put them.

Living Room:
Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.
For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
