Contemporary Bedroom Design with Pops of Color

Project Description

Need a new bedroom suit to update current look. Looking for new bed (King if it fits), two dressers, a rug, bedside tables and lamps, possibly a trunk or sitting place for the foot of the bed. I'd like to keep the some of the art work we have now, but also open to suggestions. Open to painting but don't want wallpaper. Don't want window dressings really unless you really think it's necessary.

The style. Also it has no dressers, and I want to alleviate some of the pressure on our closet space. I also think it could have more art.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?

Some of the art work (although I could probably use a new frame for the Italy picture). Perhaps consider keeping the chair. That's about it.

Bedroom:

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use a warm gray for a clean backdrop for all the wonderful colors in the furniture and artwork.

Use an eggshell or satin finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
