Project Description

Our family room needs an update. Our current sectional has gone through a lot and now looks sad and worn out. It needs to be retired, and fast.

Our home is transitional style, the exterior kind of looking like a castle. I would like to add some drama. I'm not really a color person, only because I just don't know how to wear it much less have it in our home. Texture, layers of neutral colors, adding drama with our high ceilings and a stunning chandelier sounds like fun?

Bedroom:

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use brown as it reminds us of nature and has a relaxing quality which is easy on the eye. Darker browns work well as accent colors and lighter hues like tan and beige can match and unify most rooms.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
