Hi! Lean towards minimalist when possible....Do not like clutter/busy spaces. Lean towards contemporary side of traditional. Neutral palate preferred with any bold colors or patterns brought into room via accent pieces. This room gets tons of light. Not looking for window treatments on the windows that face the lake. Nothing here yet except kitchen table using as my desk. Very open floor plan so will see this area from LR/DR/entry way. Want to utilize this portion of the foyer (previous owner had grand piano here) as a small office area. Do not want heavy desk. Modern/contemporary desk wanted that does not weigh down the area.We don't like the sconces but they are everywhere in this house.

Would like sheer white grommet curtains to get a little privacy? Ones that can be easily opened to watch yard while I work. Prefer to only cover lower windows and not the higher up windows on the wall.

For your main color, we chose to use gray because it is neutral and seen as elegant and classy. It compliments many colors such as white, blue, and yellow and works well as part of a color scheme in any room.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
