Creative Multi-Functional Home Office Design Project Description
IMPORTANT: Project includes consultation on the wall that enters the home office to make sure it connects with rest of home.I am converting our dining room into a home office. I have some ideas, including the idea of a built in bookshelf. I also require a sit/stand desk - and use an ultrawide monitor - so placing that kind of desk (with an obtrusive monitor) has been problematic.
I could use some overall help in designing the space from a layout perspective.
I am handy and plan to do the custom built-ins, shelving, etc. on my own. Lets get creative!

It is open to the rest of the house - but we plan on closing off as part of this project.The windows provide light, but not the greatest. It is open to the side of my house, facing our neighbors house, which is 10 feet away, so any sunshine has to shine between the houses.
What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?
I want a sit/stand desk that is at least 30" x 72". The current desk pictured is smaller. I need to have the large 49" monitor on it, though. I have pinned a lot of desks. I am handy and am considering making one myself, using the lift mechanism that I already have. I want to keep some space for my children's artwork - and I have a framed "sunset" photo that I want to keep.
I would like to try and keep the sailboat poster (in files uploaded).
I want to find a place for some Star Wars/Lego items - namely my large Millennium Falcon Lego set. It is presently in a huge display case - but I am thinking it would be better and save space to just mount it to a wall, outside of the display case. I also have some other star wars items that could be part of this display. The challenge is that I really want it to be tastefully done - and not cheesy...
I also have several things that COULD be used - but not necessarily have to. They are two sailboat oil paintings and a leather chair and ottoman. I've uploaded those photos to the other rooms area.

I really need help coming up with a decent arrangement/layout of my office, and then helping with the color pallet and decor. I am colorblind - so I did not fill out the color section. Instead, I hope you can see from my Pinterest board what I like.
