Eclectic Artsy Bedroom Interior Design

Project Description

Since the pandemic started, I moved my home office into the corner of my master bedroom. I want to create a bedroom space that feels like a place to rest and recharge, but also be functional enough to use a corner of the room for my "home office" which would consist of a standing desk with a monitor where I plug in my laptop. I would ideally also like a small file cabinet and a place to store notebooks, pens, other office desk items.

I'm a very busy executive with not much time to put the vision together. BUT I want to be involved in the creative vision for my home. I just don't want to do the research and the sourcing, but I would love a creative partner to help me make my bedroom something beautiful, relaxing and restorative. I want my bedroom to feel zen so that will be a challenge with a large monitor so any ideas are welcome. The only piece of furniture that I am wed to is our bed, but otherwise, all bets are off! Looking forward to my next project with Decorilla!

The only piece of furniture we LOVE in our bedroom is the bed itself. The headboard is OK but open to changing it if the design aesthetic requires it. I also need to keep my monitor since I am also using a portion of the bedroom space as my "home office". Everything else can go!

Since your room is smaller using a dark and rich color will make it feel cozy, warm, and lounge-like

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
