Masculine Contemporary Living & Dining Combo

Project Description

I need help with everything :). I just moved into a house and it is basically empty. I would like to start with my living room and continue onward from there. I'm also fine with replacing the carpet / flooring if it suites the design of course.

Please note: I do not like any of the rooms currently, and will be changing them in the future, so don't feel the need to base design decisions off of them

Brown Carpet, Brown Walls, Light Brown Tile makes it very boring. I do not like this shade of gray paint either, so I am definitely open to changing it.

I tried my best in creating the floor plan. Those little wall extensions on each side of the living room stick out a foot from the wall. Please let me know if you need any more precise measurements.

The heights are different between the living room ceiling and the kitchen ceiling.

Combined Living/Dining:

Using lighter colors in your medium-sized room will make it feel more airy and bright

For your main color, we chose to use a warm, gray/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
