Michelle B.
Michelle spent many of her childhood weekends at open houses because her parents were nosy about the neighbors' houses. What she saw, however, was that spaces had meaning, made people feel a certain way, and affected the decisions they made. While she ended up taking a slight detour and practicing law for nearly a decade -- becoming a trusted advisor to small business owners and Fortune 500 companies alike -- she never stopped seeing beauty all around me. Ultimately, Michelle realized that she loves making people's places more than just a house; she wants to help you all feel at Home, in a place that truly reflects who you are and where you want to be.
Describe your go-to style:
I love mixing old and new. I walk into new stores and flea markets and fall in love with all sorts of pieces. All of them reflect me -- and you! -- and, put together in the right way, create a fantastic and unique vibe.
What drives you to design?
I have lived and worked in drab, uninspiring places. Your environment can really impact how you feel and think, and I want to help people think, feel, and live in the best way possible by enhancing their spaces.
From where do you draw most of your inspiration?
All around me. It might be from the design in a vintage Art Nouveau book, to the curves of candleholder, to paint color.
