Tell us your biggest design secret:
My approach towards design is organic. I treat my site as an individual or personality. Interiors or built spaces have energy like everything else in the universe. So as the objects placed in it. e.g furniture in a living room must complement each other and with accessories and soft furnishings. This means every interior element must be in harmony with each other and interior space. This leads to the unification of the entire composition as a whole. So if the entire composition is well balanced, it brings peace and joy for the people living and visiting the place. This creates 4th dimension for interiors, which is its interaction with people. This is the dimension that impulsively attracts us to go to a certain place again and again because we feel comfortable and relaxed in it. That is always my goal for each and every project to create harmony and unification among interiors so it can reflect in people so they can spend quality time and enjoy every moment spent in that surrounding.
What drives you to design?
The diversity of people always drives me to come up with a solution customized to their personal choices and taste. Isn't it amazing that in a building of 100 Condos, all have different interiors? It's always exciting to meet new people and particularly when they share their perspective of the interiors they would like to have, I learn a lot about cultures and elements which trigger human minds to like or dislike certain colors or forms. I love to transform interiors as a reflection of the individual personalities of my clients. Regardless of the budget, I treat each client of mine as a very special one.
From where do you draw most of your inspiration?
I always draw my inspiration from people. I respect their culture, traditions, values, personal choices, and understanding their lifestyle and preferences always motivates me to come up with a personalized solution customized just for them. Interiors must be a reflection of the personalities of people living in them. That is the only way to make them feel comfortable and relax. As humans, we are in harmony with the things we like. We love specific colors and forms. So people always inspire me when they open up about their tastes and choices driven by their emotions. In my opinion, the best design solution arises from the best understanding of people's tastes and choices whom we are designing for.
