Rustic Home Design with Fireplace Project Description
I'm looking for help designing a new construction house. I am a single guy, and my design choices will likely reflect that. I have a lot of space to fill, and essentially am starting from scratch because I don't really have any furniture or art to bring with. A living room, kitchen/dining area, Bedroom/bathroom, and office are my major concerns. I'm willing to also expand if it goes well. The house is a modern farmhouse, but willing to mix and match.My pictures aren't great right now. I have barely been able to get into the house while under construction. I'm hoping to start this process though because closing is in June and I don't want to be TOO delayed.

It's a new construction. Obviously the pictures aren't great. My biggest concerns are the size of the space and being able to fill it in a way that makes it feel used. It backs up to the Kitchen/island, and I would like to be able to utilize both spaces effectively but am not sure how. What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?
I am not necessarily bringing any furniture with me. There is a hanging fan that has yet to be installed, but it's truly an open canvas. I was hoping to include a TV/entertainment system, and I do have some gaming systems when I would like to be able to hide. I could also put them in a different room, however I would like a TV in the room. Are you open to changing your wall colors?

Nothing specific, It's empty. I have nothing. What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?
Again, blank canvas. I planned to start completely fresh. I am not sure if I would like to fit a TV into the room in here. I have one in my room now which is nice, but I don't want it to be something that interferes with the design of my room. Are you open to changing your wall colors?

The room is attached to the kitchen and living room. It is long, and can likely accommodate more than dining alone, but the far side is somewhat closed in and dark. Directly to the left of the windows is the sliding glass door to the deck. I would like this space to be multifunctional. Are you open to changing your wall colors?

I like minimalist designs for offices. This is also the first room that will be seen when you walk in my house. I was initially thinking nature themed with greens and browns, but not sure. There Is carpet planned for this room, which I don't love.

Living Room:
Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.
For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint for walls which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish. Use a semi-gloss paint finish paint for the built-ins as it is ideal for trim and cabinets. It has a slight shine and is easy to clean.
